my story
My passion for holistic healthcare began at an early age without really knowing it. My parents initiated me very early to natural approaches. My father, landscaper and gardener, is a passionate and expert in botany; adept at medicinal plants, I remember the Swedish Bitters - homemade! - that he gave us, my brother and I, when we had a stomach ache.
And my mother, whom I often accompanied to our family doctor, also acupuncturist and homeopath, introduced me to integrative medicine and many other holistic approaches at an early age. She allowed me to discover my passion for essential oils and cooking.
I started the culinary arts high school in France at the age of 14. I wanted to become a chef! What I became 7 years later as a sous-chef in a french restaurant in Canada. I never stopped learning about cooking: vegetarian & vegan cuisine; japanese; italian; fermentation techniques; gluten free. After sixteen years in the food industry, I decided to give to others differently: through well-being.
Health issues & why I’m passionate about pregnancy
“Turn your wounds into wisdom.”
Early teenager and for about 15 years, I struggled from eating disorder that results in my adulthood in various health issues like severe constipation, acne and anxiety. In my thirties, I realized that I was gluten intolerance and find such a relief when I decided to completely avoid gluten from my diet.
After two unsuccessful relationships that never leads in pregnancy despite having tried, I was worried that I could one day get pregnant. At the age of 35 and after a toxic and abusive relationship, I finally met my husband. At this point of my life, I started to feel some changes in my cycle; the perimenopause was at the door. I decided to fix my hormones and prepared my body for a future pregnancy. I began my own protocol that should last 1 year and focus on a healthy diet, regular exercice and meditation. After 6 months, I was ready to start a detox, last step before trying to conceive when our baby girl decided to show up in my belly, way earlier that I expected.
I truly believe that my hard work to take care of my body helped me to get pregnant at the age of 36. Pregnancy is an amazing journey in woman’s health but also brings a lot of questions, especially after the age of 35.
when i don’t work
I enjoy cooking with my family; reading in a quiet atmosphere next to the fire place; running or biking on the trail; practicing yoga in the community; discovering my creativity through sewing, kniting and gardening; recharge myself thanks to the earth, barefoot or during a vipassana meditation.
