Black beans brownie

Prep. time : 10 min - Cook time : 30-35 min

Ingredients

2 cups of black beans (canned or homemade) rinsed & drained

1 cup of dates sooked in hot water

1/4 cup of unsweetened cacao powder or carob powder

1 cup of unsweetened chocolate chips

1/3 cup of avocado or coconut oil

2 large eggs

2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

1 pinch of salt

1/2 cup of nuts of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Butter a baking dish.

  3. In a food processor, process the black beans and the dates no water (keep the water if needed later).

  4. Then add oil and eggs.

  5. Slowly put the cacao, the baking powder, the vanilla extract, and the salt and process until it’s smooth. Use the dates’ water if needed.

  6. Add the chocolate chips at the end.

  7. Pour onto the baking dish and smooth out batter to edges. Spread the nuts on the top.

  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

  9. Cool on the counter for 10 minutes.
